Examples Projects:
NK732 - Developed and executed the complete NK732 Frequency Counter – all the hardware, software, FPGA design, manufacturing, test, and marketing materials. The NK732 is the fastest and most accurate time interval counter in the world. It involves a signal path with picosecond timing, analog signals which settle to less than 1 mV accuracy in nanoseconds, and a 6 GHz frequency range. It is used by the US Naval Observatory to measure atomic clocks, by scientists in high performance laser timing measurements, and by semiconductor manufacturers in production test of PLLs and oscillators running 24/7.
BI401 - Developed and executed the complete BI401 Clock Generator – all the hardware, software, FPGA design, manufacturing, test, and marketing materials. The BI401 is an ultra low phase noise clock generator.
Femto-2000 - Architect and key hardware engineer for a precision time measurement instrument for semiconductor test which sold for $70k to $150k. Received a cover page product announcement in Evaluation Engineering Magazine and six issued patents.
GT200 - A PC-based time interval counter which included an 8051 microcontroller. Designed the hardware, wrote 8051 code in assembly, DOS driver in assembly, and a graphical virtual front panel in C. Received full page free product feature in EDN Magazine. Sold about 5000 units.
